UNESCO to partner Harare Poly for journalism training

Zimbabwe National Commissioner for UNESCO Ms Margaret Chirapa says UNESCO is ready to partner all the journalism training institutions in Zimbabwe for the betterment of journalism standards in the country.

This was said during the official opening of the online journalism and digital broadcasting capacity building workshop in Harare. In an interview with Capitalk FM News, Ms Chirapa said the workshop will produce a journalist who will adhere to contemporary journalism ethics.

Speaking at the same occasion, Harare Polytechnic Principal Engineer Tafadzwa Mudondo said the capacity building workshop resonated well with the newly introduced Bachelor of Technology in Mass Communication, whose thrust is premised on the application of digital multimedia technologies in the dissemination of news.
