Acting Minister of Media, Information and Broadcasting Services Hon Simon Khaya Moyo says the Office of the President and Cabinet will soon release a statement to review achievements by the various government ministries, in a systematic manner to avoid confusion.

Minister SK Moyo was addressing delegates during the official opening of the inaugural Zimbabwe Trade and Investment Conference and Expo 2018 held in the capital last Friday.

He said: “You should appreciate that the presentations by various ministers were being made in Cabinet and naturally Cabinet presentations are not immediately just released. It is my conviction that now that the 100 days are coming to an end, certainly the Office of the President and Cabinet will issue a statement covering each ministry interms of what they have achieved.

“If we do it disjointedly, one saying we have achieved this and other saying we have achieved that, it will be more confusing. So it has to be methodical, thorough and clear. I can assure you that we will be working on the statement,” said Minister SK Moyo.

In December last year, President Emmerson Mnangagwa called on all ministers to focus on action and production, before setting a 100 day action plan for them, with which they had to set performance scorecards that would be reviewed.

The ministerial 100 days are slowly coming to an end, hence the probe for review of the set targets.
