Harare residents trust director, Precious Shumba says the increase in water tariffs by the local authority in the 2019 budget statement from 70 cents to 83 cents per cubic meter is unjustified.

Speaking to Capitalk FM news, Shumba said the local authority needs to consider the accessibility, availability and quality of the water delivered to residents.

Shumba also added that city of Harare should focus more on addressing challenges within the water distribution network.
