‘Chamisa never met President Trump’ – US Embassy

By Staff Reporter

The US Embassy in Zimbabwe says MDC-T President Advocate Nelson Chamisa never met United States President Donald Trump or any member of his administration, as he allegedly claimed.

Speaking to Donald Mukota on Capitalk FM’s Deep Dive Show last night, US Embassy Charge D Affairs Ms Jenifer Savage said he United States government never pledged any financial support to the MDC-T party.

“Donald Trump and Nelson Chamisa did not meet and Nelson Chamisa never had any meetings with anyone in the Trump administration. He had meetings with the US Congress, which is a separate pillar of our government.  So I am not aware of any pledge of assistance to Nelson Chamisa,” said Ms Savage.

Early this year, Advocate Chamisa allegedly claimed to have met with US President Donald Trump and was promised 15 Billion if the MDC-T wins the upcoming harmonised elections.
