The swearing in of comrade Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa as the President of Zimbabwe last week was a historic event for many Zimbabweans who shared their sentiments and expectations of the new government.

Chief Executive of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Mr Karikoga Kaseke said that a change of Government would result in growth of the tourism industry.

He indicated that negative portrayal of Zimbabwe has hindered the progress of the tourism industry to a greater extent.

“I think with the beginning of this new era, the issue where there were negative perceptions of this country will be gone” he said.

Mr Kaseke urged members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police to desist from harassing tourists to ensure development and success in the tourism industry.

Mr Kaseke stated that the new era for the tourism sector by next year 2018 is going to be marked by a very positive investment climate.

“Investors are going to be very much welcome in this country and we can only create employment when we have investors in the country. He wants people to have jobs and he should exactly what he said.”

Many Zimbabweans have bemoaned the current economic hardships and have hailed the coming in of a new executive hoping for a better improved Zimbabwe.
